Some confusion may come from the fact that users tend to use the term "Runtime" to refer to both the general area where you keep content AND the specific folders with the name "Runtime."Īll folders called "Runtime" need to be located inside another directory. You can install all that content into the Poser Content Runtime, but most of us find it easier to keep it separate. Genesis Content Runtime - this is the folder you choose to install your Genesis and Genesis 2 content to. To avoid issues with User Access Control (UAC), It should not be located in Program Files. OR is located somewhere else that you chose during installation.

Poser Content Runtime - this is the folder called "Runtime" that is usually located in Documents or Documents and Settings (under the default install of Poser) inside a directory called "Poser Pro 2014" or something like that. When you installer the DSON importer, this is the runtime to which the script should be installed. You should not install content to this runtime - except for Python scripts. Main Poser Runtime - this is the folder called "Runtime" that is in the same directory as the Poser executable. (Note: Sometimes where I say "click on", you may actually need to "double click") To the OP - It doesn't matter which HDD you use. (Essentially, it's using JoePublic's method - but Netherwork's script does the CR2 editing for me.). But the end result is, IMO, much, much better. It's a multi-step process, so a real pain for newbies because so much has to be done manually, rather than simply loading assets from the library. Thanks to a utility by Netherworks that cleans up the CR2s, the result is clean native Poser content that runs without the importer script activating. Not to try to confuse the issue, but I've recently started to export Genesis characters and clothing directly from Daz Studio, rather than using the DSON importer. You have to have the DSON importer installed to use the DSON loader script. The old cr2 export method was even worse. We could really scare you an tell you how it was done before the DSON importer and DSON loader script.

Now, if you are using a 32 bit OS or P10 (which is a 32 bit app), you can run into slow downs or library lock. Do as you do with any other figure in the Poser library. If you have the files installed correctly, you should see the files. Check the drop down scripts menu to see if the DSON python files are there. Install the M6 files to the same runtime as the other Genesis/Genesis 2 files.
Since M6 is simply a morph set for Genesis 2 Male, that is one you want installed the most. Do not install to the main Poser runtime. Install the Starter Essentials and the Poser companion files to a separate external runtime outside the program files folder. As it posted above, if you don't have a copy of DS4 on your system, you will need to make sure the check box in the importer installation is checked so that the required DS files are installed with the importer scripts.Ĭheck Poser's python folder to make sure the DSON importer scripts installed. The importer comes with Genesis Starter Essentials, the Poser Companion files for it, as well as the Genesis 2 Female and Genesis 2 Males Starter Essentials and their Poser Companion Files. If you don't have the DSON importer for Poser from DAZ, get it. It is not all that difficult if you take it step by step.
